Solar Rebates

Solar Rebates

Solar energy delivers positive environmental impacts, contributes to nation’s energy independence, and provides more jobs than oil & gas sectors. To encourage the continued expansion of solar, governments, utilities and other organizations offer solar tax breaks and financial incentives to make solar more accessible for today’s homeowners. Some states offer additional tax credits for installing a solar panel system. With a state solar tax credit, you can deduct a portion of the cost of your solar panel system from your state tax bill, similar to the federal ITC. Sometimes citizens receive a cash rebate from the state, utility company, or other organization that wants to promote solar energy. Rebates are generally available for a limited time.

Our company, Metric Solar, works in collaboration with a number of popular utility companies to provide aid to our customers in terms of incentives and rebates as described above. Foremost of these utility companies is Southern California Edison. It is the primary electricity supply company for much of Southern California, USA. To promote renewable energy usage, the company offers rebates ranging from $200 to as high as $750.

There is also however, the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP), it serves substantial portions of the southern California territory. LADWP offers a variety of rebates and programs for our residential customers. It makes these programs available to assist our customers in using energy and water more efficiently as well as saving money and resources while improving our environment. Through Solar Incentive Plan, customers are provided $0.40/watt for residential solar and $0.70/watt for non-residential solar power.

Last but not the least another popular option is Pacific Gas and Electricity Company. The northern part of the state of California is generally served by the Pacific Gas & Electric Company. PG&E is said to cater for the needs of 5.2 million households and now offers its client-age opportunities and incentives in terms of tax breaks and rebates to encourage them to shift to renewable energy.
